Tulsi Gabbard, born in 1981 in American Samoa, is a well-known politician and military veteran. She served in the Hawaii Army National Guard and was deployed to Iraq in 2004. Gabbard later became a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012. She gained attention for her progressive stances on issues such as climate change, healthcare, and foreign policy. Gabbard also ran for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 presidential election.
