Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916) was an influential Italian painter and sculptor, known for his contributions to the Futurism movement. Born in Reggio Calabria, Boccioni studied art in Rome and then moved to Milan, where he joined the Futurist group. His artworks emphasized movement, speed, and the impact of modern technology on society. Boccioni's iconic pieces include "Unique Forms of Continuity in Space" and "The City Rises." Tragically, he died at a young age during World War I, but his legacy continues to inspire artists around the world.
