Matt Biondi, born on October 8, 1965, is a former competitive swimmer from the United States. He is a multiple Olympic gold medalist and world record holder. Biondi competed in three Olympic Games, winning a total of 11 medals, including 8 gold. He was known for his versatility, excelling in multiple strokes and distances. Biondi also had a successful collegiate career at the University of California, Berkeley, where he set numerous records. After retiring from competitive swimming, he pursued coaching and motivational speaking. Biondi continues to be a respected figure in the swimming community, inspiring and mentoring young athletes.
