Santoro turned professional in 1989 and had a successful career spanning over two decades. He was renowned for his two-handed forehand and backhand, as well as his incredible court craft and ability to outmaneuver opponents. Santoro holds the record for being the only player in history to have defeated every member of the "Big Four" (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray).
