George H. W. Bush, born on June 12, 1924, was an American politician who served as the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. Prior to his presidency, Bush held various roles including Vice President under Ronald Reagan, Director of the CIA, and United States Ambassador to the United Nations. He also served as a congressman from Texas. Bush was known for his foreign policy accomplishments, including overseeing the end of the Cold War and leading a coalition to liberate Kuwait during the Gulf War. He was married to Barbara Bush and father to George W. Bush, who later became President as well. George H. W. Bush passed away on November 30, 2018.
