Jennifer Capriati is a former professional tennis player born on March 29, 1976, in New York. Capriati burst onto the tennis scene as a teenager, winning the Olympic gold medal in 1992 and reaching the semifinals of the French Open in the same year. She had a successful career, winning three Grand Slam titles: the Australian Open in 2001 and 2002, and the French Open in 2001. Capriati retired in 2004 due to injuries but made a remarkable comeback in 2006, reaching the quarterfinals of the US Open. Known for her powerful baseline game and mental toughness, Capriati was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
