Leisel Jones is an Australian former competitive swimmer born on August 30, 1985. She is one of the greatest breaststroke swimmers of all time, known for her powerful and graceful swimming style. Jones made her Olympic debut at the age of 15 at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, where she won two silver medals. Over her career, she won a total of 9 Olympic medals, including 3 gold. Jones also achieved great success at World Championships and Commonwealth Games. She retired from competitive swimming in 2012 and has since become a respected mentor and commentator in the sport.
