Mother Teresa, born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in 1910 in Skopje, now North Macedonia, was a Roman Catholic nun and missionary. She dedicated her life to serving the poor and the sick in India. In 1950, she founded the Missionaries of Charity, a religious congregation that focused on helping those in need. Mother Teresa received numerous awards for her humanitarian work, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She passed away in 1997, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and love for all humanity.
