Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya was a renowned Indian yoga teacher often referred to as the "father of modern yoga." Born in 1888, Krishnamacharya dedicated his life to studying and practicing yoga, eventually becoming a master of various yoga styles including Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa. He is credited with reviving the ancient practice of yoga and adapting it to suit the needs of modern practitioners. Krishnamacharya's teachings influenced many prominent yoga instructors, including B.K.S. Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois. His legacy continues to inspire countless individuals on their yoga journey.
