William Henry Harrison was the 9th President of the United States, born on February 9, 1773. Known for his military leadership in the War of 1812, he famously defeated Tecumseh's Confederacy at the Battle of Tippecanoe. Harrison served the shortest presidency in history, dying of pneumonia just 31 days into office in 1841. Prior to his presidency, he was the Governor of the Indiana Territory and a Congressman. Harrison is remembered for his military career and brief tenure as president.
