Cordell Hull, born in 1871, was an American politician and diplomat who served as the longest-serving Secretary of State in U.S. history, from 1933 to 1944. He played a key role in the creation of the United Nations and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 for his efforts towards promoting world peace and understanding. Known as the "Father of the United Nations," Hull was a strong advocate for free trade and international cooperation. His diplomatic skills helped shape U.S. foreign policy during a critical period in global history. Hull passed away in 1955, leaving behind a legacy of diplomacy and peacemaking.
